Gale is now retired!! From now until June 11th he is actually on vacation and then June 12th is his last day! According to departmental policies he is required to work on the last day – good thing a “comp day” is considered a day worked! We rented a 10-foot truck from Budget Truck rental at Exhaust Pro in Mason City and picked it up about 11 am. We finished loading the truck and left the house at 5 pm. Stopped by Gale and Mary’s for a last goodbye and then headed to Walgreens in Mason City to pick up prescriptions. We were on the highway by 5:45 pm!! The rain began in the night somewhere in Indiana or Ohio.
