It was a cold, windy and rainy morning. Maureen was up early enjoying the luxurious shower and spacious bathroom facilities. After some coffee and a little breakfast, Gale and Nick drove to Ft Myers Beach to check on Lucy and stop by West Marine. Maureen and Jane stayed cozy in the condo as they visited, watched the news and did some laundry. Just before noon Nick and Gale returned from their outing with hot lattes in hand. Gale reported that Lucy was fine, but he thought he saw sleet or snow mixed with the rain when he dinghied out to the boat! After a nice lunch, Jane and Gale did some stretching and strengthening exercises for their spines.
Ongs took us back to town in the afternoon stopping first at the Sun Harvest Citrus store and then the Publix grocery. It was a wet and cold trip out to the dinghy with our laundry, groceries, backpacks and computers but we were able to keep things mostly dry and Lucy was very happy to see us. We started up the engine for some heat as we put things away. After tuna casserole and key lime pie, the three of us crawled into bed to keep each other warm under the down comforter.
