Sat, Feb 6, 2010 - Marathon, FL

We were off and running before 9 am. We dinghied into the marina, grabbed a shopping cart and walked the 1+ miles to the Publix grocery store. While Maureen was picking up groceries, Gale and Lucy walked over to the liquor store to pick up some rum but had to wait until 10 am for the store to open. After Gale had made his purchase he joined Maureen for the last of the shopping. We pushed the cart back, loaded up the dinghy and headed home. The rest of the afternoon was spent on boat chores. It was such a lovely day it didn’t really matter what we were doing as long as we were enjoying the fresh air and sunshine.

Around 4 in the afternoon Gale and Lucy ran in to get some gasoline for the dinghy and the generator. They also filled up the fresh water jugs. While they were out, Maureen finished up with her inside chores and sat down to catch up on some business on the computer. For dinner, Gale grilled pork, Maureen prepared the rice and we toasted to another wonderful day.

You're kidding-- you had to sit out front with a pit bull waiting for the liquor store to open. I'll bet that looked strange. I 'm surprised the cops didnt come by and say "move, along, buddy....."

Hey, You must be having such a good time, you've forgotten about us up in Siberia. We are freezing our ass off in Iowa. Impatiently, waiting for our dream report from the Goransons. You need to get ready for the ocean to rise when all this snow melts.
