Friday, September 3, 2010 – Jennings Boatyard, Cockrell Creek on Great Wicomico River

What storm?? It hadn’t even rained! There was no wind! Huh?? Fortunately for us, Earl had taken a slight turn to the north and was on its way to Nova Scotia. Maureen joined Don for the early morning walk, we had breakfast, relaxed around the house for a time and then Don and Ally dropped us off at the boatyard. They were on their way to visit their son and daughter-in-law and to meet their new granddaughter and had a six-hour drive ahead of them.

We spent the day putting things back together and cleaning the boat. Gale used the opportunity to scrub the bottom of the boat and remove the remaining barnacles he wasn’t able to take off while it was in the water. Blue Heron was looking fine by the time we were finished!
